BôGA is new to Montreal, and in Canada. HôB is the first rebounding studio to create a class which will include all the components you will find in a yoga class along with some dance, and of course, bounce. Chrissy Skerritt, certified yoga instructor has created an intimate yet fun BôGA experience where you will enjoy gentle flows and balance poses that are playful yet relaxing. Chrissy trained for yoga on the trampoline with a master in New York. This is where she discovered how to use the trampoline as a tool to deepen yoga practice.
BôGA. Yoga on a trampoline. Bounce yoga. BôGA. At HôB, we are constantly striving to find innovative ways to use the most versatile piece of equipment in fitness, the rebounder! We decided to combine two types of fitness who both share a focus on stress and emotional relief with flexibility, balance and coordination. Furthermore, yoga on the trampoline creates a new challenge for yogis. Balancing and posture poses on a hard, flat surface are done on a malleable surface which requires extra strength and focus.
Chrissy has been a yoga practitioner for over 10 years. Her passion for health and wellness, entrepreneurship and being able to contribute to the wellbeing of others is her driving force. In 2014, she embarked on a 300 hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Teacher Training with Yasmin Fudakowska-Gow and shortly after started a home based business with Arbonne International. This journey has led to life changing experiences in terms of personal and professional development as well as understanding and appreciating the importance of community and connection.
Chrissy has since had the opportunity to continue her training with a Kids Yoga Teacher Training, The Roll Model® Method – The Science of Rolling training as well as a customized Trampoline Yoga training at Shen Tao studio in New York City. She aspires to continue learning from various perspectives and to inspire others to develop their practice, explore the benefits that yoga has to offer as well as encourage self-discovery.
